The Entertaining Morocco Project
The Entertaining Project
With the play at its heart,
the Entertaining Morocco Project aims to create a series of cultural events at
five sites, two in Morocco, three in England, to explore and promote
intercultural exchange using theatre, music and discussion.
The project is a result of discussion and collaboration between groups from
diverse backgrounds. The work with Moroccan partners – particularly the Sufi
musicians and Marrakech University – is especially innovative.
Groups currently involved include:
Enssemble Mogador Chant
et Musique Soufie
Passamezzo
Neon Forest Film and Website Design
University of Marrakech Dept. of Human Sciences & Literature
University of Warwick
The Religious Education & Environment Programme
Lazenby Education
Entertaining Morocco has been revised and reworked specifically for this project
and it now incorporates live music by Enssemble Mogador Chant et Musique Soufie.
Project performances are set to take place in Spring 2011
